Parent Involvement

LMRT depends on the active participation of its parent-members to manage the organization and to organize races and other events for the enjoyment of our athletes.
 
How Parents Support the Team

LMRT parents support the team in two ways. 

  • First, each LMRT family is REQUIRED to help organize the annual USSA race the club hosts.  (See the Events page for this year’s date.)
    • The USSA races in PARA are organized by the clubs that host them.  All of these events require help from the parents of the participants. However, the parent-members of the club hosting the event do most of the work.
    • LMRT’s race is vital to our club, and all families are required to volunteer in some fashion and help make it a success.
  • Second, parents also support our coaches and help organize the club operations to make the LMRT experience enjoyable for our athletes. Get involved by volunteering for an LMRT committee.

  • Consider helping to lead LMRT as a member of the Board of Directors. 
  • Elections are held annually at the LMRT Spring Picnic. All LMRT members are encouraged to express their views.
