- Coaching and instruction is tailored to athletes ages up to 11, and takes place in small groups.
- Primarily focuses on skiing and racing fundamentals through free skiing - both directed (targeting specific skills and terrain, and guided by the coach) and undirected (high mileage, all terrain, athlete selected runs, under supervision from the coach).
- The emphasis is to put many "miles" under the skis in a variety of terrain to improve balance, coordination, edge control, and dynamic movements and overall confidence.
- Participate in age appropriate terrain and obstacle courses designed to build the strong skiing fundamentals and acquire basic racing tactics (rather than full-length gate courses).
- Participants learn good sportsmanship and are encouraged to have a positive attitude.
- Provides opportunities to race and be introduced to both NASTAR and USSA.
- Our most important goal is to provide a safe and fun learning environment.
