An advanced racing program geared toward experienced athletes preparing for higher levels of competition, but it also welcomes those just getting started with a fun and social environment.
Format
Training sessions focus on refining fundamental skills to a high level, developing precise movements, and more advanced gate tactics.
Weekend morning sessions consist of a variety of gate training courses including full-length gates, timed runs, and video analysis.
Weekend afternoon practices consist of directed free skiing and drills to sharpen fundamentals skiing skills and learn more advanced techniques. They also generally require more concentration and focus.
Weeknight training is also offered on Tuesday and Thursday evenings for an additional one-time fee.
Weeknight practices consist entirely of gate training and focus on tactics and mileage in the gates.

Newer athletes generally enter one or two local races, and focus the majority of their time training.
More experienced athletes travel to events across the state and compete in the PA Cup Race series.
Participants receive coaching support at LMRT's home race, the PA Cup events, and the JI-II Finals. See the Race Schedule for details.
Athletes are also encouraged to participate in some form of off-season conditioning program. Contact your coach for suggestions and feedback on your dry land training routine.
Staffing & Athlete-to-Coach Ratio:
The JI-II program maintains a ratio of approximately 6 to 8 athletes per coach for practice sessions.
Pre-requisites
The prerequisite for this program is the ability to ski at an advanced level.
