An intermediate level racing program targeting more experienced athletes aiming for the next level, as well as those just getting started.
Format
Both beginning racers and those aiming for the Junior Olympics will find LMRT's JIII Program can help them achieve their skiing and racing goals.
The program provides opportunities for young athletes to build solid skiing techniques and learn more advanced gate tactics.
The coaches help create a fun and social environment, but participants are also challenged to work harder to improve and achieve their individual goals.
Weekend morning sessions focus on gate tactics using training gates as well as with full-length flex-poles, portable timing, and video analysis as applicable.
Weekend afternoons emphasizes hard, fast skiing in challenging terrain and specific drills to build confidence with greater speeds, more advanced techniques.
Free skiing - both directed and undirected - remains a central part of this program and accounts for about 50% of the time on snow.
Athletes are encouraged to develop a higher level of concentration and focus.
Weeknight gate training is also offered on Tuesday and Thursday evenings for an additional one-time fee.

Newer athletes generally enter one or two local races, and focus the majority of their time training.
However, experienced athletes travel to races ski at different areas around Central PA, and aim to be selected for the PA JIII State Championships (i.e. Derbies).
The JIII Coaches support participants at all of PARA Central Division qualifier races, and those invited to the State Championships. (See the Race Schedule for details.
Athletes are also encouraged to participate in some form of conditioning program in the off-season. Contact your coach for more information.
Staffing & Athlete-to-Coach Ratio:
The JIII program maintains a ratio of approximately 6 to 8 athletes per coach for practice sessions.
Pre-requisites
The prerequisite for this program is the ability to ski at an advanced level.
