Adam Jacobson

U12 Head Coach | Carving Evangelist

Six years coaching. Ten years racing. A lifetime hitting gates.

Adam didn't choose ski racing—his sister fell in love with the sport and dragged him along for the ride. Ten years later, he'd raced his way through LMRT's entire program, from U8 to U21. Now he's back on the other side, teaching the next generation of U12 athletes how to carve like they mean it.

His coaching superpower? Carving 101. Introduction to Carving. All things carving. Adam knows you've done your job well when a kid suddenly gets it—when the ski tips bite, the edges hold, and everything clicks. That's what he lives for.

When he's not on snow, Adam's probably gaming on his PC, woodworking in his shop, or forgetting to water his succulents (again). He loves sleeping in past noon on weekends with his wife and dog. He's a night owl who runs on Diet Mountain Dew, and his dream ski destination is Japan. His best ski day ever? Skiing steep glades on a powder day at Park City, basically hopping from tree to tree.

His guilty pleasure? Also Diet Mountain Dew. The man knows what he likes.

What he wants LMRT athletes to know: "We always take 2 free runs to start off the morning, and they're more for me than for you."

Why he coaches: "I love ski racing, and talking about ski racing. Hard to do that without being a coach."
