Chris Covin

U16 Coach | LMRT Lifer

Twelve years racing. Two years coaching. All LMRT.

Chris was a reckless skier as a kid, so his parents did what any smart parents would do: they put him in ski racing to learn how to actually ski. Ten years with LMRT and two years with MMSA later, he'd learned a thing or two about speed, line, and control.

Now he's back, coaching the same U16 program that shaped him, bringing that hard-earned knowledge to the next generation. He's trained with a current U.S. Men's Ski Team member, knows what it takes to compete at the highest levels, and is all about teaching athletes the perfect carve.

His coaching superpower? The perfect carve. That moment when everything aligns—edges locked in, skis running true, body stacked just right. Chris knows it when he sees it, and he knows how to teach it.

When he's not on snow, Chris is probably watching ESPN. He's a morning person fueled by coffee, his guilty pleasure is chocolate milk, and his best ski day ever was bluebird powder in Ajax backcountry. His dream ski destination? Japan.

What he wants LMRT athletes to know: "I was an athlete on LMRT starting from first year Dev Team."

He's been exactly where they are. He knows the path. He's living proof of what LMRT can do.

Why he coaches: "Because I love ski racing."

Simple. Pure. True.
