Max Webber
U14 Coach | Squallywood Speed Chaser
First year at LMRT. Five years coaching. Full send since day one.
Max grew up skiing Squaw Valley in Lake Tahoe, chasing the Squallywood crowd around the mountain, pushing limits every day, hunting gnar points and ear-to-ear stoke. That rabid passion for skiing fast and loose never left - so finding a way to be on the mountain and share that need for speed with the up-and-comers was the obvious fit.
His racing resume? In his own words: "Beating coach Terry to the bottom of any steep, chopped up run in Switzerland or Colorado." (Terry, we'll let you respond to that one.)
His coaching superpower? Helping young racers connect with the snow through all senses. How does it sound, feel, look? Unlock that flow state, visualize the perfect run, and let it rip. He loves coaching GS and getting young racers to feel the power of a loaded turn.
When he's not on snow, Max is cutting firewood, hanging with family, hosting BBQs, prepping for the next Halloween party, or hitting the beach. His guilty pleasure is watching wilderness survival shows while on the rowing machine. And here's one families might not know: he used to teach sailing in the San Francisco Bay Area and raced offshore for years. His dream destination is Japan.
What he wants LMRT athletes to know: "Have confidence in yourself. You are capable of amazing things both on and off the snow. Trust the process and the rest will follow. Have fun!"
Why he coaches: "I love the ski community and culture, and I love watching young racers develop that passion. Seeing when the unlock happens in real time—it's different for everyone and equally special."
