Nathan LeBauer
U18/U21 Coach | The Analyst
One year coaching. Ten years racing. Fresh perspective.
Nathan's racing career started with a family mini race on a ski vacation. That little competition sparked something - soon after, he and his brother both joined the race team. Ten years later, Nathan had qualified for U16 Championships, U18 High School Championships, and U18 Finals, racing his way through Whitetail and Liberty.
Now he's back on the other side, bringing a fresh coaching perspective to LMRT's U18/U21 program. He recently graduated from the University of Maryland with degrees in both computer science and kinesiology—the perfect combination for a coach who's extremely analytical about technique and movement.
His coaching superpower? Being extremely analytical—some might say too much so, but that's exactly what older athletes need. Break it down. Understand the why. Make the adjustments that matter.
When he's not on snow, Nathan's probably making lattes or rock climbing. He's a night owl who believes you can never have too much caffeine. His best ski day ever? Two fresh feet of snow at Heavenly last winter, with fresh tracks for hours. His dream ski destination is Japan, and when asked skis or snowboard, his answer is simple: "Why not both?"
What he loves most about coaching LMRT: "Small mountain, big vibes."
What he wants athletes to know: "Always remember why you're here and what you're working towards."
Why he coaches: "I love seeing athletes develop over time and seeing how they grow both on and off the snow as a result."
